TKP-ML International Bureau: Ka Maria Malaya Is Immortal!

To the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP),

Dear Comrades,

We extend our deepest condolences to the Communist Party of the Philippines, the New People’s Army, and all revolutionary forces on the passing of Ka Maria Malaya (Myrna Sularte). We ask that our heartfelt sympathies and solidarity be conveyed to her family, comrades, and all those who fought alongside her.

Ka Maria Malaya dedicated her entire life to the struggle for national liberation and socialism. She chose the difficult but just path of revolution, standing with the workers, peasants, and Lumad masses against the forces of imperialism and reaction. As a leading cadre of the Party and the People’s Army, she was not only a strategist and organizer but also a comrade who lived among and fought for the oppressed with boundless determination. Her leadership was deeply rooted in Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, and through her guidance, the revolutionary movement in Mindanao stood firm against exploitation and fascist terror.

Her loss is deeply felt, but her revolutionary legacy will endure. Her example will continue to inspire those who take up arms, who organize the masses, and who refuse to bow before oppression. Ka Maria Malaya is not gone, her name, her struggle, and her contributions to the people’s war will live on in every comrade who carries forward the fight for national and social liberation.

We honor her memory and remain in revolutionary solidarity with the Filipino people in their just struggle.
