Police Report 1 Leading CPI (Maoist) Cadre Taken Into Custody In Kanker District
Kanker District, January 13, 2025: According to police, a leading cadre of the CPI (Maoist) and her associate have been arrested from Chhattisgarh’s Kanker district, Inspector General of Police, Bastar Range, Sundarraj P announced to the press today.
According to the IGP’s report the detainees have been identified as Malti alias Raje Kange (48), a divisional committee member of the Maoist party, and Shyamnath Usendi, who had given her shelter in his house.
The IGP revealed in his statement that the two were arrested on Saturday from Koyalibeda police station area and that Raje was alleged to be in-charge of the Maoist party’s Rowghat area committee under the party’s north Bastar division.
In his report the IGP declared that police had been receiving intelligence inputs about Raje’s movement in Koyalibeda area, located around 200 km from the state capital Raipur, for the past few days.
Concluding his remarks, the IGP said that during an investigation by the police, Raje’s location was traced to Kaudosalhebhat village where Usendi had given her shelter, adding that the the two were subsequently apprehended.
