Police Report The Arrests Of 4 CPI (Maoist) Cadres In Sukma District
Sukma District, January 23, 2025: Four individuals believed to be cadres of the Maoist party were arrested in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district on Thursday, a police official announced to the press today.
According to the police official’s report two of the arrested persons have been identified as Madkam Pande and Madvi Mangu, both of whom are alleged by the police to be Maoists.
In his prepared remarks the police official said that the four detainees were held by a joint team of the local police, District Reserve Guard and Bastar Fighters in a forest near Duled village under Chintagufa police station limits during an anti-Maoist operation that began on Wednesday.
The police official concluded his statement by alleging that Pande was active as a member of the Kalahandi-Kandhamal-Boudh-Nayagarh (KKBN) Division of the CPI (Maoist). She was also supposedly a security guard of CPI (Maoist) Special Zonal Committee member (SZCM) Comrade Ekanna. Mangu was purportedly a militia commander of the Maoist party’s Komatpalli Revolutionary People’s Committee (RPC).
