CPI (Maoist) Squad Carries Out Sabotage Attack In Bijapur District

Bijapur District, July 25, 2022: A squad of cadres belonging to the CPI (Maoist) carried out a sabotage attack in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district on Sunday, setting ablaze a machine and two vehicles engaged in a cable laying project.

The incident occurred between Padera and Kakekorma villages on Sunday evening where a private telecom company was engaged in work, Bijapur Additional Superintendent of Police Pankaj Shukla said.

A group of armed Maoists stormed the site and demanded that the laborers stop their work, he said. They then set on fire a JCB machine and two pick-up vehicles.

Nobody was injured in the incident.
