CPI (Maoist) Banners And Posters Surface In Khunti District

Khunti District, July 26, 2021: Cadres of the CPI (Maoist) put up banners and posters in several locations under Arki Police Station in Khunti district of Jharkhand state. This was done as part of the Maoist party’s Martyrs’ Week. Police later seized the banners and posters put up by the Maoists. Khunti SP Ashutosh Shekhar confirmed the news.

Through the posters and banners the CPI (Maoist) have paid tribute to their cadres, and urged the people not to become SPO’s. Further, the Maoists have demanded that police camps be removed from schools and panchayat buildings, and that the land of the Zamindars should be distributed among the poor and landless people.

The banners and posters have been issued in the name of the Southern Zonal Committee of the CPI (Maoist). Police in the area have gone on high alert in the wake of the discovery of the Maoist banners and posters.
