Clash Between Squadron of Naxalites And Security Forces Occurs In Narayanpur District

Narayanpur District, March 17, 2023: An exchange of fire between security forces of Sonpur, Kurusnar and Basingh Police stations of Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur district and a squad of Naxalites took place on Friday morning during a search operation in a jungle near village Orchapara.

No injury to security forces has been reported. The Naxalite squadron managed to flee during the encounter.

The search operation started on Friday after Naxalites set solar panels on fire at an under construction mobile tower near Murhadpur village during the night of March 16.

After the clash with the Naxalites, ITBP forces and security forces from Sonpur, Kurusnar and Basingh Police stations began an ongoing search of the nearby areas.
