Dear Friends,

I am deeply pleased and highly honored by the international launch of my book On the Philosophy of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism.  I thank the organizations sponsoring this event, the distinguished book reviewers and all others who are participating.

I appreciate the International Network for Philippine Studies for publishing this book in the Sison Reader Series and for making it available to academics, activists and other readers through international e-publishing outlets and the Popular Bookstore in the Philippines.

The over-all guide of the people’s democratic revolution in the Philippines is the universal revolutionary theory of the proletariat, Marxism-Leninism-Maoism. It is therefore necessary for those interested in this revolution to read and study the book that is now being launched.

The class analysis of the history and current social circumstances, the basic problems of the people, the revolutionary forces in motion, the strategy and tactics and socialist direction of the ongoing revolution are most profoundly and comprehensively understood by studying the philosophy of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism.

I am confident that the book reviewers will be able to draw attention to major points of significance and relevance in the book in order to arouse further interest in reading and studying the contents of the book.
