3 DRG Jawans Injured By IED Blast Triggered By Alleged Naxalites In Bijapur District

Bijapur District, January 3, 2025: Three jawans from the District Reserve Guard (DRG) sustained injuries on Friday in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district from a pressure improvised explosive device (IED) allegedly planted by Naxalites, a police official announced to the press today.

According to the police official, the explosion occurred near Tokda village within the Gangaloor police station’s jurisdiction as a team of security personnel was returning from an anti-Naxal operation.

The police official disclosed that the injured jawans, who received minor injuries, were immediately taken to a local hospital and are reportedly stable, and that a search operation is currently underway in the area.
