We, the International League of Peoples’ Struggle (ILPS), send our warmest greetings and solidarity to the participants of the Easter Commemoration of 2018, and to its organizer, the Irish Socialist Republicans.
The ILPS is struggling in the world against imperialism standing with socialist movements, made of people who are struggling to liberate themselves from the yoke of exploitation and oppression. We recognize the particularity of Ireland’s revolutionary movement as arising from the long heroic struggle of the Irish Republican tradition, with its great leaders and martyrs such as James Connolly and Seamus Costello. We welcome gladly the establishment of the Irish Socialist Republicans as a logical and necessary continuation of Ireland’s revolutionary tradition.
This commemoration of the Easter Uprising celebrates and remembers the heroes of the Irish national liberation struggle as also heroes of the working class, so that we might all use their example as paving stones for the road ahead towards socialism.
We of the Philippine Revolution and the Irish Revolution, are fighting first for national liberation from imperialism and then for socialism, making us brothers in our struggles and aspirations for our people. We offer our heartfelt support and solidarity to our revolutionary Irish brothers and sisters.
We support the efforts of the Irish Socialist Republicans to continue to advance Ireland’s long history of struggle for liberation through developing an organization allowing qualitative and quantitative growth towards the Revolution.
Red Salute!
