British Warships Out of Dublin – British War Machine Out of Ireland!

Anti Imperialist Action Ireland can today reveal that the British Warship ‘Westminster’ (F237), that in recent years has been involved in Britain’s imperialist wars in the Middle East, is due to arrive in Dublin tomorrow.

The Warship is set to arrive in Dublin Port at 8.30am and will be berthed at Ocean Pier 35, off the Alexandra Rd, until 12pm this Sunday.

Anti Imperialist Action states that British Warships are not welcome in Dublin or any other Irish port and that the British forces of Occupation are not welcome in Ireland.

The presence of an integral part of the British War machine in Dublin this weekend, puts yet another nail in the coffin of the myth of the neutrality in the 26 county state. At a time when Britain maintains the illegal occupation and partition of Ireland through force of arms, and continues to deny the rights of Irish citizens on a daily basis, it is an absolute insult to the Irish people that the 26 County state would facililitate the British Military in Irish waters.

The presence of foreign warships in Irish waters, like the facilitation of US and NATO warplanes at Irish Airports, demonstrates that the 26 County State is completely subservient to the agenda of British, US and EU imperialism.
