Nantes: Meeting on the Philippine Revolution attracts the attention of local activists
On the 25th of May, the revolutionary organization Jeunes Révolutionnaires have organized a meeting to discuss and promote the Philippine Revolution carried out by the CPP-NPA-NDF. The meeting attracted several members of different local anti-fascist and revolutionary organizations, but also masses of the neighborhood where it was organized. In total, around 30 people have came to learn and support this. Unfortunately in France, not enough people are familiar with revolution.
The presentation was carried out by Christophe Kistler and started by discussing the historical context of the Revolution, and the history of the different fights for national liberation and socialism starting from the Katipunan, the PKP and the current work of the CPP.
At the end of the meeting the participants asked many questions, like how does the movement coordinate the different struggles and the work of the United Front, or how is the ‘people’s justice’ applied in the Red Areas.
The meeting was concluded with a small snack of a delicious hummus prepared by the comrades of the Nantes cell of Jeunes Révolutionaires.
