8 Alleged Cadres Of The CPI (Maoist) Arrested By Security Personnel In Sukma District

Sukma District, September 14, 2024: Eight individuals alleged to be cadres of the CPI (Maoist) were arrested by security personnel in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district, a police official announced to the press today.

A joint team of the District Reserve Guard (DRG), Bastar Fighters and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) apprehended the suspected Maoists during a search operation near Bainpalli village under the Jagargunda police station area on Friday, the police official declared.

On sensing the presence of security personnel, the purported Maoists tried to escape but were rounded up after a short chase, the police official remarked.

Of the arrested, Muchaki Pala (33) was said to be a militia commander of the Maoist party, and Madkam Sannu (40) was presumed to be a deputy militia commander of the Maoist party, the police official stated.

The rest of the detained persons were reputed to be active as militia members of the Maoist party, the police official said, adding that the security personnel recovered four gelatin rods, 200 gm of gunpowder, four detonators, cordex wire, pencil cells and other Maoist-related materials from them.
