Official CPP Statement: Condemn Zionist Israel For Bombing And Killing Hundreds In Gaza Schools

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) expresses its strongest condemnation of the US-supported Israel government for dropping at least four megabombs on the al-Talbin School in the Daraj neighborhood in Gaza City last Saturday, August 10.

More than 100 Palestinians who have sought shelter at the school were killed. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out the aerial bombing while people were congregated for their morning prayers, resulting in massive casualties where bodies were ripped to pieces.

The Zionist Netanyahu government continues to commit one war crime after another. The al-Talbin school is the fifth in Gaza to be bombed by Israel since August 1, 2024, where close to 200 people have been killed. To seek shelter, Palestinians who have been rendered homeless by Israel’s ongoing brutal slaughter, have been converging in school buildings, which are considered civilian structures under the Geneva Conventions.

The CPP reiterates its call for an immediate end to the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza by the US-supported Israeli Zionist forces, which have killed close to 40,000 people since October 7 of last year. The Party reaffirms its support to the Palestinian people in their revolutionary struggle for liberation and self-determination.
