CPI (Maoist) Reaffirms It’s Presence In Bargarh District

Bargarh District, April 19, 2022: The CPI (Maoist) has reaffirmed it’s presence in Ambavona block of Bargarh district.

After a long period of the party’s silence, a Maoist poster was hung on Sunday near the Chakramal pole on the Chakramal-Babebira main road near Lakhanpur in the district.

The poster alleged widespread irregularities in the Chakramal-Babebira village road project and warned the officials for course corrections.

Notably, cadres of the Maoist party had set fire to a contractor’s JCB, roller, tractor, etc. in 2014 against corruption in the construction of the Lakhanpur road in the block.

In 2018, there were rumors in the area that the Maoists had put up posters alleging irregularities in such road works.
